Furthermore, the regulations and requirements of the local building authority must be observed for the design.
Surface finish
All profiles and substructures used must be powder coated or anodised. The basic profiles and substructures must be powder coated with a matt finish in the same colour as the outside wall or the watertight membrane.
The powder coating to be used is a single-layer powder coating which does not provide corrosion protection. If the specifier or contracted company wishes to use a coating as corrosion protection, this must be agreed with Schüco International KG, as it may not be possible to guarantee the function of the cover profiles with higher coating thicknesses.
Aluminium components powder-coated in accordance with GSB guideline AL 631 or Qualicoat, or anodised in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7599 as per the current colour chart of the contractor.
Steel components hot-dip galvanised in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461.
Fixing and connecting units
Connecting components must be made from V2A stainless steel.
Connecting components within the systems made from V4A stainless steel, aluminium or PVC-U.
Aluminium quality
Extruded aluminium profiles must be of the quality EN AW 6063-T66 and must have proof of this in the form of a 3.1 certificate.
Statics
The substructure certification including the attachment to the existing building, the profiles and the fabric forces must be made in accordance with DIN EN 1090, DIN EN 1993-1 and DIN EN 1999-1.
All basic profiles are certified in accordance with Eurocode 9.
