SPECIFICATION TEXTS/PREVIEW SPECIFICATION
The fitting consists of mechatronic, profile-integrated 24 V DC sliding and lift or locking drives, as well as system-specific control components that are fully concealed in the vent. The tested structural properties of the sliding system in accordance with DIN 14351-1 are not affected by this.
Control concept for the Schüco TipTronic sliding system:
The system consists of sliding units for different opening types that can be controlled using the Schüco Building Skin Control (BSC) building management system.
A typical set-up in the building contains the sliding unit, power packs (28 V DC) and the Automation Manager, which enables the Schüco control unit (BSC) to be integrated in the overriding building infrastructure.
Button interfaces, KNX gateways, IP gateways or BACnet gateways can be connected to the Automation Manager as required.
In addition to power supply cables for the sliding units, a unit bus cable J-Y(St)Y (2*2*0.8) must be provided by the customer to control the units. Coordination with the electrical planning by the customer / measurement, control & regulation technology / technical building services etc. is absolutely essential for this.
Taking into consideration the design loads/weights, the required fitting and drives must be used in accordance with the system manufacturer’s size tables (in accordance with the Schüco order and fabrication manuals), including the accessories within the system profiles that are required for proper use and full functionality.
After fabrication and installation, the unit must be commissioned to guarantee that it functions properly. A 230 V power supply must be supplied by the customer for this.
At the latest following the complete operational check and commissioning, a test log must be created and given to the client so that the service can be accepted.
When planning and designing the systems, a risk analysis must be carried out.
The electrically operated sliding windows in the sliding system count as machinery within the meaning of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG (implemented in Germany by the Ninth Act on Product Safety).
The manufacturer must therefore conduct and document a risk assessment when planning the automatic sliding units in order to ensure that the sliding systems can be operated safely within the meaning of the Machinery Directive.
The superordinate operating units and functions that are covered with the BCS components are listed in separate items and, if necessary, trades.
For controlled operation, the customer must ensure a permanent power supply of 230 V/AC for the power packs for the units and BCS control components.
